Chase noticed a bludger coming his way and hit it straight towards @Ignatius Wolffort, hanging back on his broom a little since he knew this meant the boy would be taken out of the game by the ref.
Dominic could tell things were getting heated amongst the beaters. He could see them flying out of the corner of his eye. He stopped flying as the Slytherin seeker was hit for a third time, waiting for the team to bring a substitute out.
The bludgers were quite active this game, so the referee knew it was only a matter of time before someone would have to leave the game. "Time!" he called as a Slytherin took a third hit. Ensuring a nurse was awaiting the young player, the referee then turned his attention to the captain to see what substitutions they'd make.
Lennox couldn't believe how this game was going. She barely had played at all it seemed. She needed to be more hands on, which was hard when her seeker was just knocked out of the game. Lennox rolled her eyes before making her way over to the referee. "The substitution will be Morrie Ayre." She explained looking over the bench. Maybe this change would be what they needed. Lennox was ready to completely turn this game around.
Reeve nodded his head, made the change on his lineup card and then stuffed it back into his pocket. The man kicked off the ground and took his place back in the sky. "Game on!" he declared.
The game continued on, Marley had managed to hit the bludger, aiming it towards the replacement seeker but it had gone off course and had hit one of the players on the bench... oops....
Chase thought knocking the Slytherin seeker out of the game might change things for the better but nothing was less true. He was too late in noticing another bludger heading his way and swung his bat at it in a way he probably should ‘t have since he managed to hit the bludger in such an awkward way that it spun around and still slammed into him. Well now he could sympathise with that Slytherin beater.
(I mean the HM quidditch section is going to love this)
Even though Morrie disliked him, it was unpleasant to watch Wolffart get bludgeoned out of the game. Now it was her turn to go up, the second wave facing the same unless she caught the snitch quickly. "This is why babies shouldn't be in the first line up," she commented, grabbing her broom and taking to the sky.
Alana finally spotted a bludger hurtling through the air and went to take a swing at it but instead of the Hufflepuff keeper it instead hit @Callie Cardoso.
Oz was relieved he hadn't been hit, somehow - he couldn't even thank his size, because the beaters were managing to hit people on the bench. He wasn't going to laugh about it, but he might have cracked a bit of a smile as he followed along with the quaffle, knowing he needed to get himself back into the game.
